Cegos

With offices now all over the world, Cegos is one of the international leaders in professional development. More specifically in the UK, Cegos provides effective and dynamic learning solutions to a wide range of organisations, from top FTSE 100 companies through to smaller up-and-coming SMEs.

What was required?

The key objective for JBi was to create a modern, fresh and professional website all within the corporate Cegos brand guidelines. Cegos specialises in providing both bespoke and off the shelf development solutions. Both parts of the user journey has to be accounted for.

For the off-the-shelf solution, one of the key requirements was that the user would be able to book and pay online. This meant that course information needed to be clearly displayed, enabling informed decisions to be made followed by the ability to pay securely online.

For bespoke solutions, Cegos offer a more consultative approach, so it was important to get the user journey right to ensure the client engaged with the business rather than simply leaving the website. Subtle and effective calls to action were important for this part of the business to help create a steady stream of online enquirie

What we did

  • The website required a Joomla based Content Management System with some of the staff familiar with Joomla and its capabilities.
  • K2 Extension was used for greater content flexibility and manageability. Customisation was performed, keeping in mind about the option for future upgrade.
  • PayPal integration for online payment was required for making online payments required for the off the shelf courses.
  •  Multi-level search option was created for both general content and specific courses.
  • Kept the design and branding within the corporate guidelines.
  • It was also required to have a newsletter subscription module as well as a customer area with username and password.

JBi verdict

It was very important to understand the service offerings, the target audience and the kind of brand image that Cegos wanted to give to the website. This meant many face-to-face meetings at their UK office to get a full understanding of the requirement for our web designers to create the right look and feel. All designs had to be kept within the corporate brand guidelines that were supplied before the project commenced.

One key objective of this project was to create a website that showcased Cegos’ off the shelf solutions as well as their more bespoke tailored solutions. Our main challenge on the project was to try and create a platform that took all the Cegos clients into consideration which we feel we accomplished well.
