Elan Kitchens were looking for a website which reflected the sleek and contemporary feel of their kitchen designs when they connected with JBi. With a passion for elegant design, we were over the moon to be able to bring our creative and technical skills to the table.
Creatively designed for living and entertaining, Elan Kitchens’ bespoke designs look strikingly beautiful in refurbishments, home extensions, new builds and apartments. Their out-of-step website, however, was another story. As the digital market grew, the company knew a complete refurbishment was essential to attracting the booming ranks of online consumers and presenting its product to their greatest advantage.
To upgrade their digital presence, Elan Kitchens asked us to design a sleek modern website to showcase their impressive kitchen range. Aesthetics were everything to this project. A clean, minimal and visual feel was essential to channeling the ethos of the brand, while appealing to Elan’s target consumers. On top of perfecting the look of the website, we faced a secondary hurdle: transforming a dated unresponsive web presence into a user-friendly, responsive website.
As with all our projects, understanding the client requirements, timeframe and vision was an essential step towards creating Elan’s fresh digital presence. A fundamental issue with the old website was that it failed to showcase the brand’s gorgeous kitchens. To solve this, we crafted a design which gave the company’s beautiful photography space to really “wow” visitors, incorporating in plenty of room for those all-important visual assets.
After extensive discussion with Elan, we worked to give the website a luxurious feel which channeled the brand’s ethos and evoked the quality of their kitchens. Clean typography was an essential ingredient in this “makeover” and Google’s Josefin Sans combined with Lato was the perfect minimal yet stylish choice. We also turned the homepage into a sleek gallery that took over the full screen of any device. These key design elements enabled us to create a high-end brand image which attracted more traffic and inspired more conversions.
Once we had created Elan Kitchen’s new brand image and website, it was imperative for us to apply it consistently across the project to create a sleek, seamless look and feel. As we fine-tuned each element and created a fully rounded web presence, the brand really came to life, expressing the style, quality and ethos of Elan perfectly.
To complete and perfect the project, we conducted testing on a variety of different products and software to iron out any issues and to ensure the user journey was as beautifully smooth as possible – just like Elan Kitchen surfaces!
The final result incorporated all the client had asked for – and more; a slick, modern and visual website that showcased their stunning kitchen range to its greatest advantage, all while channeling core brand values.
