3D Printing


When PrintME3D approached JBi, we knew we were onto a good thing. They were young, fun and energetic with a cool business in a growing sector to promote.

The Brief

Their old website was a simple brochure site and now they were ready for an E-commerce website that would establish their business as an online leader. They wanted a site that would leverage their authority as a multi-brand provider of 3D printers and solutions and more importantly one that would fulfil their objectives below.



Over a few cups of coffee we really got to know PrintME 3D as an online business. We honed in on their business objectives, what they envisioned for excellent user experience and ultimately the site process for the perfect conversion. With the UX and Design team on board, we channelled our inner consumer and drew up wireframes of the key page layouts with one thing in mind – getting the user to checkout as quickly as possible!



Having understood PrintME’s objectives, we decided that a mixture of the bold and minimal with an injection of quirk was the best way forward for not only their web design but their overall brand identity.. We created PSD mock-ups for each page, playing around with layout, colours and tone. We visualised user flow in every design decision, working cohesively with the development team to ensure the site reflected the perfect marriage of functionality and quirky minimalism for their contemporary interface.



We developed the website to be completely user focused – customising each section to apply to different user groups. We built a quirky filament section from scratch giving multiple options to the user to play with as well as customised emails to customers giving them a personalised PrintME experience. Finally, the cherry on the top, we built the site to be fully responsive. In a nutshell, the whole development process centred on building functions to facilitate and increase those conversions.


Final set up

After thorough testing of the site’s functionalities, order process and UX on all responsive platforms, we handed the PrintME 3D baby over to its owners with training sessions included! Luckily it wasn’t the end of the road for us because now we’re onto getting PrintME to super SEO stardom. Onwards and upwards!

Well, we’re pretty chuffed to say the least with the finished website. However, lets face it, the true success of any E-commerce website is judged by how hard it works for a business. So when we saw that within just 2 months of launching, PrintME 3D’s website’s transactions grew by 156.67% and that E-commerce conversions were up to 98.94%. We were pretty impressed to see PrintME making massive 3D waves the online SEAcene!
