Adobe Reveals Creative Suite 6 Pricing

Today at San Francisco, Adobe plans to launch it’s latest version of digital art software, Creative Suite 6, and has revealed the prices for the package. The product will contain 14 applications in four different packages; Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design Standard, Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium, and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Master Collection.

The prices vary depending on the package. The Design Standard suite will cost around £805, meanwhile the Master Collection will cost a heavy price of about £1613, which most of you reading this will find insane. However, fear not, there is some hope.

Adobe isn’t a stranger to the opinions and complaints regarding the price tag of it’s products (though as a web designer I don’t think it’s over priced for what it is), so they’re revealing another offer, the Creative Cloud Offerings. This is a subscription services that lets users access all of the CS6 apps, all for a monthly fee of around £30, with students paying a substantial discount for the same thing.

This is a major development which could potentially help Adobe gain more users. It might be going a bit far, but maybe there will be a drop in the piracy of their products from this, then again £30 a month does seem a bit steep. What do you think? Leave a comment below.
