This policy outlines how we handle your personal data in compliance with the UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025. It is an informational notice, not a contract.
1. Data we collect & how we use it
We only process your data when we have a lawful basis to do so (such as fulfilling a contract, pursuing our legitimate business interests, complying with a legal obligation, or with your explicit consent).

2. Cookies & third-party analytics
Our website uses cookies to manage user preferences and analyse performance under PECR rules. You can adjust your settings at any time using the control tool in the bottom-left of our site.
- Tools we use: Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, Google Analytics 4, Leadfeeder by Dealfinder, and CookieBot.
3. Data sharing and international transfers
We never sell your data. We only share it with trusted third parties who help us run our business, including:
- Our CRM platform provider, to securely host and manage our contact, lead, and client databases.
- Trusted third-party IT providers, sub-contractors, or analytics platforms.
- Law enforcement agencies, if we believe it's necessary to comply with the law or to protect our legal rights.
Your data may be processed outside the UK/EEA (e.g., India, South Africa, Ukraine, or US-hosted CRM cloud servers). All transfers are secured via our ISO 27001 certification and protected using UK-approved legal safeguards, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA).
4. Data retention
We keep your data only as long as necessary.
- General interactions, leads & clients: Up to 6 years from your last contact.
- Unsuccessful job applicants: 6 to 9 months.
5. Your rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, restriction of, or deletion of your personal data, as well as the right to object to marketing or automated profiling. To exercise these rights, email privacy@jbidigital.co.uk. We aim to respond within one calendar month.
6. Complaints procedure
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact our Data Protection Officer first:

Under UK law, we will formally investigate and respond to your complaint within 30 days. If you remain unsatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) (ico.org.uk).
