JBi Digital is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with the UK Equality Act 2010 and international digital accessibility standards.
Compliance status
Our website is currently partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 AA standard, due to non-compliances and exemptions listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content below is non-accessible for the following reasons:
- Some text on the Careers page, navigation bar and blog posts does not meet the contrast level requirements required to meet success criterion WCAG 1.4.3 (Minimum contrast)
- Across the site, there are instances where the HTML has not been formatted to meet the requirements set out in success criterion WCAG 4.1.2 (Name, role value) which impacts how screen readers navigate the pages.
- The search bar in the main navigation is not always accessible via a keyboard WCAG 2.1.1 (Keyboard operable) and WCAG 2.4.7 (Focus visible)
- Some alt text is not optimised for screen readers and may repeat, or give unnecessary information that does not meet success criterion WCAG 1.1.1 (Non-text content)
- Fields in the contact form do not identify their purpose programmatically and do not meet success criterion WCAG 1.3.5 (Identify input purpose).
- Not all related form controls are grouped in a fieldset to tell screen readers they are programmatically associated and this does not meet success criterion WCAG 1.3.1 (Info and relationships).
Third-party accessibility tools
We have integrated the AccessiBe widget to help us improve the user experience of our websites.
We recognise that the accessibility widgets and manual adjustment options put in place on this website do not benefit all users. We are actively working on a roadmap to address known issues and meet full WCAG 2.2 AA standards.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations
PDFs and other documents
The accessibility regulations do not require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services. However, any new PDFs or documents we publish will aim to meet accessibility standards.
Live video
We do not plan to add captions to live video streams because live video is exempt from meeting standard accessibility regulations.
What we’re doing to improve accessibility
We are actively rolling out an internal accessibility roadmap across our digital infrastructure to resolve the outstanding non-compliances.
