Customise Your Google Search Page To Make Searching Fun!

We all use Google to search almost every day, so why not customise your Google search page to make searching more fun?

With Custom Google Background extension, you can customise your Google search page background to something that you like but here’s the catch, it is only for Chrome users. There are a lot of custom themes available in the Chrome web store and many of them are free for you to instantly download them and spice up your desktop. Designs range from adorable animals to picturesque views, sexy celebrities to birds and fishes, and even desire-related themes. You can even match the theme with your own website design branding which will be a great add-on during any client demo/presentation.

Check out the steps below:

1. Log on to your account at www.google.com.

2. Add Custom Google Background extension to the browser. A window will popup like shown in picture below asking for permission to access your data and browsing activity.

3. You will then see thumbnails of the featured themes. There are many options to choose from, in fact, some even have an option of changing colour according to the time of day. A theme gallery will pop up underneath the button. You can either select a theme from the list of upload your own photo.

4. An alternate method is to go to your iGoogle Settings page at http://www.google.com/ig/settings and change your theme from there.

5. You can also personalise your search page according to your requirements like hiding the Google logo, the “Lucky” button or the footer. You can also adjust the position of your background image.

6. Check out the final output of the customised background.
