Successful Online Visibility

In one of JBi’s projects, the web agency helped a recruitment firm for medical staff restructure its web presence and considerably improve its brand identity, search engine ranking, and effectiveness of its marketing budget.

JBi’s client in that project was First Call Medical (FCM), a premier recruitment firm that focuses on Allied Health Professionals, permanent staff and Locum Doctors available to hospitals. The agency thereby works closely with both doctors and employers to provide a healthy, trusting basis for future employment.

The industry which FCM occupies is very competitive, and a functional and professional website and effective internet marketing are key to reaching out to new clients on the internet and building a professional brand. Prior to working with James Blake, FCM’s web presence was lacking those qualities. The firm thus contracted the web design agency to increase traffic to FCM’s website (using only legal white hat methods), to optimise its keyword rankings, and to develop a professional web presence.

The result of the cooperation between FCM and JBi was a considerable increase in the number of visitors the website attracts every day, a significant decrease of marketing costs, and a quantifiable improvement in the website’s ranking for the keywords that are particularly vital in FCM’s sector. FCM’s website now ranks first on Google.co.uk for the keywords “Locum registrar jobs”, “Surgical jobs”, and “Doctor job openings”, while ranking second for “Dr locums” and “Locum consultant jobs”. For the keywords “Locum positions” and “Hospital doctor jobs”, the website is now on positions three and four, respectively.

In the end, the work of James Blake proved to be very effective and successful. The set goals were met and FCM was appreciative of the effort the web agency had put in. A spokesperson for the recruitment agency said that FCM saw an “average 200% increase over the first term” in website traffic, and furthermore, that due to the high rankings for essential keywords, FCM is now “being viewed as a more credible company”.
