Conserve Africa Foundation is a non‐governmental organisation registered as a charity who aim to promote and put into practice sustainable development, training, education, research, promoting and campaigning in Africa.
Conserve Africa were initially looking to solve their hosting problems and approached JBi to help as the site kept crashing. Ernest Rukangira, Executive Director, Conserve Africa commented, “I have been having problems with hosting our websites through the VPS system for the last 6 months; JBi helped us to fix these problems.”
The charity had an old CMS system using Joomla and the site was riddled with viruses. The client asked JBi to stabilise the site, which we did. However it was eventually decided that a new site would be the best option.
Conserve Africa are a non-profitable charity so JBi built a simple new site that would allow the user to showcase the main areas of their services. We managed to transfer large amounts of the content and images to the new site and ensure the website had a good user experience. The client was extremely happy with the end result and with the service received.
JBi redesigned their website after it was damaged by their previous hosting company through their VPS system. We also helped them set up their VPS account including emails and security features.
It was great to be involved with a charity that works on such a good cause. The key was to create a simple but effective design and to replace their current website as quickly as possible. We are happy with the outcome and hope that it helps the charity progress and communicate their message.
