All Hands on Deck
The day began with 8 members of the JBi team making their way to North London, welcomed with buckets of paint, tools & decorating materials.
We started off by sanding the walls and putting the first coat of paint on… with some of it making itself pretty well known to our clothes too!
DI-Why did I screw that there…
As we waited for the first layer to dry, we enjoyed a lovely team lunch with The Childhood Trust volunteers!
Half of the team then made a start on the second coat, whilst the other half were tasked with some DIY furniture work.
Some members of the team were overly confident about their DIY capabilities… perhaps a bit too confident. Lets just say we certainly needed a few extra looks at the instructions!
The Finishing Touches!
Our work was progressing and things were starting to come together nicely – we weren’t so bad at this after all!
The finishing touches were made and we waited for the moment of truth as the family came in to see their newly decorated bedroom.
All for a Great Cause
It was a wonderful experience to help a family in poverty and put a smile on their faces. We continue to work with The Childhood Trust to help them alleviate the impact of poverty on children in London.
