George Bush Is Back on Google for “Miserable Failure”

Almost everyone is aware of the incident in 2004 wherein searching for “Miserable Failure” in Google returned results related to George Bush.

This was termed as Google Bomb. In 2007 Google made changes to counter these popular terms, but it is back and this time it is targeting George Bush.

Search for “miserable failure” in Google and you will see George W. Bush’s knowledge graph in the search results.

Back at that time, it ranked in the first place because Google placed high importance to anchor text links from other sites. So, many sites bombed Google by linking to George Bush’s webpage with anchor text “miserable failure”.

However, with the recent launch of Knowledge Graph, this has come up again with George Bush’s snippet on the right.
