The Global Peace & Unity Festival (GPU), is a non-profit organisation. Launched in December 2005 and attracting over 25,000 visitors of multi-cultures at its first inauguration, GPU established itself as a permanent landmark for the Muslim and non Muslim community in the UK. GPU promotes a space for a much needed dialogue and offers the unique opportunity for those interested in peaceful co-existence to come together and celebrate the best of world cultures.
GPU were looking to upgrade their website. The idea was to create a website that would appeal to those coming to the event and also make it easy for them to find the information they need to get the most from the event.
The market is diverse and very hard to identify and so the web design part of the project was never going to be easy. The client also wanted something colourful and to stand out. We wanted to make the site flexible so that the website can be used for the event in 2015.
It is a good cause (Global Peace!) so we had to make sure the design was bold, full of interesting content and imagery and that was exactly what we did.
