Amazon to buy Whole Foods
We’re creeping a little into last week with this news – Amazon announced they were going to purchase supermarket chain – Whole Foods for a cool £10.7 billion. This move will help Amazon expand their brick-and-mortar retail plans.
Airbnb launches a ring to support marriage equality
Short-term house rental service – Airbnb has launched a wearable ring to raise awareness of marriage inequality around the world. The ring has a split in it which represents the missing general acceptance towards marriage equality. Check out the video below.
McDonald's to begin delivering
McDonald’s announced they’re trialling home deliveries through UberEats in London, Leeds and Nottingham. The service will be available within a 1.5 mile radius of 22 participating restaurants and between 7am and 2pm, Monday to Sunday.
15,000 set record at Glastonbury
Around 15,000 people set the record for the world’s largest human peace sign at Glastonbury on Thursday. The event was organised by the team who run Glastonbury’s green fields in response to the terrorist attack in Manchester and London recently. Read more about the record on The Guardian.
