Design your Twitter account

It is not that long ago when Twitter introduced their own version of “Cover photo”, similar to Facebook or Google Plus. So we decided we will teach you how to design your own perfect Twitter cover photo.

First thing to know is how big the cover image is and where will Twitter place your avatar. The image should be 520px wide and 260px height, the size of the avatar is 73px x 73px with 4px border which gives us 81px x 81px area for the image.

This image is placed in the middle, 20px from the top. So the final place of this image will be 220px from the left side. We created a png image with lines representing these boundaries so you can easily add it as a layer and use it as a guide line if you are too lazy to set rulers!

Note: Sadly enough on small screens this wont apply and the avatar will be slightly out of place

And here comes the creative work! For our Twitter account we decided to reproduce the appearance of the avatar with its border and created a grid with text and the services we provide.

Then, as you might have noticed there is a line in our png image and exactly on this line will be the top of the text once you upload the picture. We need to know where the text starts as we want the text be visible. To do so we applied some gradients to make the text stand out!

And that’s it! Now just upload this image and voi-la! (You should follow us!)
