Are you in love? Let your bra tell you!

Given that it was the season of love not too long ago, we had no choice but to fill our quota for the absolutely ridiculous in love and digital and this is what we found.

It’s fair to say we did well.

Aptly called the ‘True Love Tester’ a Japanese lingerie company Ravijour have produced a bra that takes the thinking out of love and simply unlocks when it ‘senses’ true love – yes that’s right when it senses love. With the use of these sensors and a specially developed gadget designed to sit in the bra itself, both work together to analyse the willing individual’s heartbeat in the heat of the moment. If at that point that the bra ‘decides’ that true love is in the air, the clasp at the front will quite simply pop open indicating true blissful love.

What do we think? Well, first things first we’re not surprised with the amount of hype surrounding the digital bra, particularly over the issue of practicality. It’s clear that this is a point that the developers most definitely missed out on. If the concept runs on the bra ‘knowing’ when you’re in love,  how would the bra distinguish an increasing heart rate as a result of jogging? Or worse unexpectedly malfunctions giving you the ultimate wrong signal!

We think we can all agree that rather than being a bra that senses love; it could become the one piece of underwear that could altogether confuse the situation further. It’s a good thing then that the bra is not for sale and merely a gimmick. Popping digital bras not the most ideal.
