Financial Management

In and amongst a very busy marketplace, Chartered Financial Planners Cumberland Place, needed a striking website that would enable them to stand out amongst their competitors. It had to appeal to their wide and varied client base which ranges from private investors to charities, and the public.

The Brief

JBi were handed a loose brief with the central criteria that we produce something modern, fresh and engaging. With this somewhat creative license, JBi let the artistic juices flow, working alongside Cumberland Place to create their ideal website; one which has now proudly been nominated for the ‘Best Financial Advisor website’ award! Go team!

Planning

Equipped with company knowledge, brand colours and a creative license, JBi begun imagining what the site would look like; its functions, features and usability. We pasted our thoughts onto wireframes and user flows, communicating constantly with Cumberland Place to ensure we were all on the same track. We understood the needs of the website redesign and now with the audience at the forefront of our minds, we were on to stage two: the design.

Designing

Cumberland Place’s wide target demographic made the designing process a little problematic for JBi. With such a mix of user interests, needs, and demographics, the design had to appeal to everyone. Clean, sleek, and professional with a little wow factor? Exactly! For us, the homepage was key to the whole site design. It had to be striking, engaging and present the professionalism of Cumberland Place. So we mixed the brand’s primary colours blue, turquoise and purple, with crisp full screen imagery and sleek blocks to produce a page that was smooth from top to bottom.

Development

Due to the amount of information the website needed to display, we developed Cumberland Place’s new site on an easy to manage CMS which would allow the team to amend and edit content without hassle. We then actioned a elegant navigation system to create the most enjoyable user experience. This website was one of our first which held a custom JBi plugin; it was basic, provided the site with exactly what it needed, and was something our developers were very excited about!

Final Set Up

Cumberland Place were so pleased with our work that the sign off process couldn’t have gone any smoother. So with our work almost complete, it was now time to run some testing before handing this fabulous new online platform back to its rightful owner. Exciting!

The Results

From whittling down an open design brief to producing a striking lightweight website, JBi were satisfied that we had reached all the objectives of this project. Cumberland Place were stoked to finally have a website that offered their clients a platform to learn about the company and their services. And to top it all off, they’ve been nominated for the ‘Best Financial Advisor website’ award! Smiles all round!
